Virus or Hardware?
When I can get this thing to power up, IE or FF or Opera will only run for about 10 minutes before "encountering a problem and needs to close".
Any virus scans get 75% complete before puter re-boots itself. Sometimes i can be just typing along like this, and it re-boots itself. I've cancelled my ISP effective the 24th, coz I can't afford a new puter rite now. But does this sound more like a virus? If anyone still goes to Roo, SexySadie had this same problem and would like to know how her's turned out. If it is a virus, I have 2 other computers lying around that i could get fixed!!!! Love you all, and if I can;t catch ya here, I'm at work Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed dayshifts this week. I trust LadyLuv's judgement as to who to give my number to.

How about running in safe mode? I guess it might be due to virus causing problems.

You need to do a full reformat on it and well i wont say my thoughts on the other You know how to reach me LYMI

Windows reboots when it finds errors by default. Go to control panel/ double click on system/ then choose advanced/ then click on startup and recovery/ then uncheck the automatically restart box. Then run your scans..
By the way Sadies computer was fuc#ed..lol
