There's lots of things
With which I'm blessed,
Tho' my life's been both Sunny and Blue,
But of all my blessings,
This one's the best:

To have a friend like you.
In times of trouble
Friends will say,
"Just ask... I'll help you through it."

But you don't wait for me to ask,
You just get up And you do it!
And I can think
Of nothing in life

That I could more wisely do,
Than know a friend,
And be a friend,
And love a friend...like you!

God took one pair of angel wings,
two gentle loving hands,
two eyes that only see the good
a heart that understands,
a smile to encourage
love that never ends...
He wrapped it up with tender care
and called this gift
"FRIEND"

You are friendly, kind and caring
Sensitive, loyal and understanding
Humorous, fun, secure and true
Always there... yes that's you.

Special, accepting, exciting and wise
Truthful and helpful, with honest blue eyes
Confiding, forgiving, cheerful and bright
Yes that's you... not one bit of spite.

You're one of a kind, different from others
Generous, charming, but not one that smothers
Optimistic, thoughtful, happy and game
But not just another... in the long chain.

Appreciative, warm and precious like gold
Our friendship won't tarnish or ever grow old
You'll always be there, I know that is true
I'll always be here... always for you.

Too often we don't realize
what we have until it is gone;
Too often we wait too late to say
"I'm sorry - I was wrong."
Sometimes it seems we hurt the ones
we hold dearest to our hearts;
And we allow foolish things
to tear our lives apart.

Far too many times we let
unimportant things into our minds;
And then it's usually too late
to see what made us blind.

So be sure that you let people know
how much they mean to you;
Take that time to say the words
before your time is through.

Be sure that you appreciate
everything you've got
And be thankful for the
Little things in life
that mean a lot.

I am blessed to have someone
like you in my life...

God knew that everyone needs
Companionship and cheer,
He knew that people need someone
whose thoughts are always near.
He knew they need someone kind
To lend a helping hand,
Someone to gladly take the time
To care and understand.
God knew that we all need someone
To share each happy day,
To be a source of courage
When troubles come our way.
Someone to be true to us
Whether near or far apart,
Someone whose love we'll always hold
And treasure it in our hearts.
That's why God gave us friends.

God must have known there would be
times we'd need a word of cheer,
Someone to praise a triumph
or brush away a tear.

He must have known we'd need to share
the joy of "little things"
In order to appreciate
the happiness life brings.

I think He knew our troubled hearts
would sometimes throb with pain,
At trials and misfortunes,
or goals we can't attain.

He knew we'd need the comfort
of an understanding heart
To give us strength and courage
to make a fresh, new start.

He knew we'd need companionship,
unselfish.... lasting.... true,
And so God answered
the heart's great need
with Cherished Friends.... like you!!

Tenderly my friend -
that's how it will be,
this relationship of ours -
between you and me.

Tenderly I will lend -
this shoulder of mine,
in case you have need of it -
it is here all the time.

Tenderly I will speak -
kind words to you for sure,
because that's how friendships last,
and forever endure.

to embraces us as friends -

I thought I should tell you today how I feel
These feelings I share are absolute and real

There is no one else who is as caring as you
Your commitment to our friendship is so true

When I need someone you are always there
In times of happiness and in times of despair

Oh so many times you have been there for me
Helping me to understand helping me to see

Providing a shoulder in times I needed to cry
Showing me no matter what I must always try

Always helping me get up when down I fall
Whenever I need someone you are who I call

Your laughter and smiles lift my spirit so high
Your gentle hugs make me feel like I can fly

I want to be closer to you from now till the end
Because you are to me, much more than a friend

Even when you are feeling blue
And think there's nothing you can do
Remember every day is new,
Remember that your friends are true,
And all the noble things you do.

Remember that I think of you
And send you wishes warm and true,
There's always something you can do
To tell someone "I thought of you!"

I've sent a little thought today
To show you friend that come what may.
I'll always be right here for you
Remember thats what best friends do.

We're free to expose,
Parts of ourselves
Nobody else knows.

But the thing that sustains it
And sets it apart,
Is not something spoken
It's a bond of the heart.

True friends are rare
In a lifetime two or three,
I'm so glad it happened
Between you and me!
